I would like to take a second to congratulate my Group A students on working so hard to create interesting and powerful presentations to share with the world!!!

Today we began to create posters, on Publisher, to hang around the school hallways. We continued to learn new skills including: how to add a border around text or the entire page, how to color in behind a picture or text box, as well as how to print preview to see that our work fits onto a page before we print!

I can’t believe it…but there are only 3 sessions left for group A.

The kids are doing a fabulous job!!! They are learning really fast!!!

Group A is in full swing!!

First, my students have learned how to create a card in Publisher. They know how to change the style, size, and color of the font. They also now know how to add and edit clip art pictures.

Next, we created posters using Word. Not everyone has the program Publisher, so I wanted to be sure that everyone knew that Word had many other uses other than just typing. My students learned how to create and edit word art, how to order the pictures and words to overlap them, and how to orient a page side-to-side (landscape) or up-and-down (portrait).

I am very happy to welcome my new Group C students!!! Thank you for your patients while waiting for your turn to join me this year!

I am so excited to be teaching the 3rd grade computer club again this year.

Many of you don’t know me. I was a first grade teacher (Ms. Coco) when your children were in kindergarten. Since then I have moved up to 4th grade and changed my name to Mrs. Spata.

I enjoy the opportunity to teach 3rd graders a bit more about technology than they probably know now in order to help them prepare for next year.

I have decided to add one additional meeting for any student from group A or group B.

This meeting is for the purpose of completing any shows that have not yet been finished and published.

Let’s use this extra time wisely and get your hard work published on the blog.
